Tristan da Cunha Final

Tristan da Cunha
My name is Emma Sawyer, and I’m the one who is going to save the world. Now to understand how I got here you need to know how it started. A year ago after I got back from what the news called “my sabbatical”. They said this because a week before I left my parents were one their way home from one of their fancy parties, when their car flipped, and they were murdered. They never caught the person who killed my parents. After that it was just me and my little sister Taylor, and because I am 24 and she is 17 she was put into my custody. I couldn’t take the pain and needed time and space so she went to live with my family friends, until I got back. When I left I didn’t know where I was going to go, but I heard of this island where they helped people like me so I was set to find it..
“¿Hola mi nombre es Emma Sawyer, puedes ayudarme?” I asked
“Mi nombre es Axel Rye Vogel , como puedo ayudar” He said
“busco una isla que ayude a las personas cuando su triste. ¿have you heard of it?”
“Come with me,” Axel said as he dragged me to what I think was his house. “How did you hear about Tristan da Cunha?”
“I thought it was a legend.”
“No it is real, but no one is supposed to know about it. Why are you so interested in it?”
“I lost my parents about a week ago and I just need help understanding why it happened.”
“I’m sorry about your parents, but you should never go to that place.”
“Why not, I thought it was supposed to help. What happens there?”
“Nothing you should concern your self with. Goodbye” he said and left without another word. Once he left I went to my hotel and looked up the name he called the island. There was hardly anything on it, but it was off the coast of South Africa. So I booked a ticket to Cepe town South Africa, and bought a ticket on a boat that when by it. It took 6 days to get to the area, at which point I had to take a row boat to the island that was at least a couple of miles away. It took me 2 days to reach the island. I wandered around for a bit, until I saw what seemed like a castle. I start to walk toward the building when men attack me and dragged me to the castle. When they take me inside there were people in masks, that were fighting. They stopped immediately when a man threw his hand in the air. They were taking in a foreign language that I couldn’t understand.
“Why are you here, how have you heard of this place.” The man said in a deep raspy voice, that sent chills down my back.
“It was a legend that has gone around my city for years. I came to this because I needed to leave my city for a while.”
“We can help you here, so leave now before we kill you and you never return.” the man said with eyes that could burn a hole in my forehead. “And if you ever tell anyone about this island and what happens here, I will send my people to kill you. NOW LEAVE.”
“ Please, please help me I can’t go back, not now I can’t.” I begged, feeling tears forming threatening to fall. Two men grabbed my arms, pulling me out of the room. I gave up on holding my tears back feeling the warmth run down my frozen cheeks, and allowed my head to fall forward. Suddenly the men stop, I look up seeing a blurred image of the leader holding his hand in the air. He points to a dark hallway lite only by the flicking light of a candle on the wall. They dragged me down the hall. It was now that I realized it was carved out of a side of a mountain, all the walls were rough from the rock. They took me to what seemed like a make shift prison, they tossed me inside and locked a keep there for days with only a tiny bit of food and water daily. Until finally they take me out and they start fighting me. I didn’t have any weapons and I had no idea how to fight so I was pinned to the ground and beaten. They let me up and took me back to the prison, every day they would take me out of the cell, they trained me for a long time and they would have to send new trainers because I would beat the others. They didn’t have any mercy, the pain of the cold blade cutting thought my flesh wasn’t like anything I had ever felt before. I was at the point where I was fighting Ajax “your doing good my dear, you have come a long way.” He said as we fought with our swords.
“Thank you, but I can’t take the credit, this is because of you. Thank you… but I’m afraid to say that… I need to go home.” I said gasping for breath, whipping my sword around. He puts his sword out stopping mine, and the clash echoes through the halls.
“What?” He said with surprise, “you are my most promising fighter, you can’t leave.”
“What do you mean, I have to go back my sister needs me.”
“But I need you here, you can not leave.”
“A year ago you very trying to get rid of me, now your wanting me to stay, why?” He sighed, running his hand through his hair.
“Because there is a man we don’t know his name, what we do know is that he trained here also. He has been going around the world and where ever he visits there are 5-6 people who go missing when he is there.”
“I still don’t understand why I can’t leave.”
“Because he was my best student also, you and I are the only ones who can stop him.”
“If he was your best student why don’t you know his name?”
“Because I don’t want to remember it! Now after we take him down, you can go home. We leave tomorrow, now get some sleep.”
“Where are we going?”
“Moon City.” He said as he walked down the hall to his room. I was frozen in shock, home, I was going home. But why there, does that mean this person, is there? I had so many questions flying around my head but the only one that mattered was, is Taylor safe? Finally I decided I should probably get some sleep. I started walked down to my room, opening my door, feeling the cool crisp are hit me. I make it to my bed falling into, the comfort of blankets.
I am woken up the next morning to the sound of clashing swords. I walk out to find Ajax and one of his men fighting. “I didn’t ask for a wake up call.” I said with sass.
“Get ready we leave soon.” I stroll down to my room to get ready, when I go in there is a uniform, one of their’s. It’s all black, and has some silver decorations hanging on it. I excitedly put it on and I leave. The plane ride back to Moon city was very boring. As soon as we step out Ajax is planning, on how to take down this man. We go to what seemed like an abandoned house, but on the in side it was amazing you would have never guessed it was abandoned. That night we went into the city to patrol. I was on a roof watching over the city. When out of no where a man jumps on to the roof from another building.
He gets me into a choke hold, when I take a small knife I had in my boot and stabbed it into his leg. He let go of me falling back, I jump hearing a gun shot, looking up and back down seeing blood coming out of the mans side right next to his heart.
I left in a hurry, still wrapping my head on what just happened. I get back to the house, and tell the team what happened. We all went to sleep, but I couldn’t sleep so I sat in my bed and thought about my Taylor. I eventually fell asleep. Every night we went out and patrolled, and every night the same thing happened.
The seventh time this happened I knew what was going to happen but this time it was different, it was like he knew I was going to reach for my knife. He grabbed it and through it off to the side. I flip out of the choke hold, getting up looking at my appoint he did the same thing. “Looks like we have been trained by the am teacher.” The man said.
“So your the man Ajax was talking about.” I say as I grab my sword from my side, getting into my fighting stance. He does the same thing. We swing our swords around, hitting them with a clash. He knocks my sword out of my hand, kicking me back, making me fall hard on my back. He puts the sword to my neck.
“Is that what he is calling himself now, Ajax? See I just called him father.” He said taking off his mask, giving a smirk. “My name is Axel, I thought I told you not to go to that island.”
“Your Ajax’s son, that’s why you didn’t want me to going there, you wanted to fight your dad. Why?” I said with the sword still on my neck, the chilled blade threatening to cut, sending chills down my body.
“Because my father’s reign needs to end, and the next leader will be me not you.” “Bang, bang, bang” guns I turn my head slightly, seeing something shining in my eyes, my knife! “Sounds like my army is here to kill my father, now I will finish you. Sorry about your parents, I needed to test my army, but you will be with them soon.” I kick my legs and pull my arms out from under his body, punching his face. He falls back holding his face sword still in hand. “YOU B-” he was cut short when my cold bladed knife found his heart. He dropped his sword fell to the ground. My knees gave out, I fell to the ground trying to find my breath. “Bang” another gun shot, I stand up running toward the sound. Seeing Ajax on the ground with a puddle of blood around him. Everyone is dead, I’m the only one. I walk slowly back to the abandoned house, to clean myself up before I see my sister.
The next morning I walk up to go home, my home with Taylor. I walked to Taylor’s school.
“I’m here to see Taylor Sawyer.” I said to the desk lady.
“Oh, Emma your back. I’ll have here come right up.” I waited for a bit.
“Emma, Emma your back!” She said running up to me tears rolling down her face. “I’ve missed you so much.”
“I’m back and I won’t leave you, not again.” Tears rolling down my face too, I kiss the top of her head. We stood there for awhile just enjoying each other’s company. She asked me questions about where I was, but I told her that I was traveling. I didn’t want her to know what happened to me.
It has been a year now, and I kept my promise and I haven’t left her since then. We haven’t been this happy in a long time. I don’t tell anyone about what happened to me, or what I did. And I will NEVER tell ANYONE about Tristan da Cunha, no one can know about it.
